Take a stroll through the courts of France with Chevalier de Saint-Georges Ninth Violin Concerto featuring Sphinx Competition winner Clayton Penrose-Whitmore and Haydn’s Symphony No. 85, “The Queen,” commissioned for Marie Antoinette by Saint-Georges, who was recognized as the Black Mozart. Milhaud’s The Creation of the World connects the rhythmic vitality of African music with the soul of American jazz.
