Street Project Update: 4/11/19
Tack Coat Application

A layer of Tack Coat ( an oil-like substance) will be sprayed on Front, Main and Center Streets Friday and Saturday morning, April 12 & 13. The tack coat is a sticky substance that dries in approximately one hour. If you drive or walk on it before it dries, it will stick on your tires and shoes and make a mess. Please avoid the areas as much as possible until it dries. Once the oil has dried, the contractor will leave the site and open the road to through traffic and pedestrians.
Next week, April 15 – 19, the first layer of hot mix asphalt will be laid to resurface the road.
Your patience while these road improvements are implemented are greatly appreciated.
