Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday takes place each year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. American Express started the shopping event in an effort to boost spending at small businesses during the holiday season and help establishments remain open during the recession.

How can you enter to win?
Shop Small “Passports” will be available at each retailer on 11/30.
Every purchase made at a participating business on 11/30 will grant the shopper double “stamps” (Stamps might be an actual stamp, an initial, or a sticker). Every purchase at a participating business from 12/1-12/6 will earn shoppers one “stamp”. Passports can be turned back in on 12/6 during First Friday to any of the participating businesses.
A winner of the #DowntownBLM gift basket will be announced the week of 12/9
