First Friday

Join friends and family in Downtown Bloomington for our annual holiday tree lighting and December First Friday: Live Window Vignettes, this Friday, December 1 from 4:45 pm- 8 pm!
Downtown Bloomington will feature live and static decorated windows for the holidays with a ton of holiday products and sales to entice you to stay downtown.

Performing prior to and after the tree lighting will be the Nitsch Theatre Arts Rising Stars! There will be several groups around the square to kick off the evening with some festive holiday cheer including Jasper's Java, Bloomington Police Department, Bloomington Fire Department, Under Wraps, and more!

Art Vortex Studio- Hosting guest artist Kara Kirchner of Karafelts, new collages by Janean Baird, and light refreshments

Bobzbay Books- Cast and crew of MIOpera will be performing carols in 19th-century costumes

Eaton Studio & Gallery- Live window vignette featuring the four wisemen: Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil, and Do no evil. Listen to Fiddle in a Haystack in the main gallery area

Inside Out Accessible Art- Live painting of a winter scene in their window

La La Boutique- Live window “Santa’s Workshop” hosting a mailbox for children to place their letters to Santa, stop by for refreshments, and purchase $50 or more and receive a free gift
