Downtown Bloomington Art Galleries and Studios will be open 5-9 p.m. on Friday, October 18 to welcome the public and art teachers from around the state who are attending the Illinois Art Education Association (IAEA) conference. Visitors are invited to "Ask An Artist" about their medium, subject matter, education, favorite art teachers, and more! October is National Arts and Humanities Month, established in 1993, "to encourage Americans to explore new facets of the arts and humanities in their lives, and to begin a lifelong habit of participation in the arts and humanities."
